Oh, and I made Ange read The Completely True Saga of the Time Jon Walker Almost Died Alone at a Truck Stop. She laughed. A lot. Loudly. And now she lapses into giggles every time we listen to Brian Molko wail about 'that old buzzard, Johnny Walker'. It's fun.

I think she's resisting the term 'into', but then. She loved LOVED Guided Tour Through The October Country, and really enjoyed the dying alone at a bus stop one, and I'm needling her to read TAOAF because someone around here needs to know what all my strange little muttered references pertain to. Also because it's fucking awesome and like, idk. I barely even consider it bandfic.

...I wouldn't even say I'm into bandom. I just. Like good writing? That happens to be about fruity boys I can easily picture?

My argument is getting weaker by the hour, huh?

She should read TAOAF. Just. Yes. Or at least the failboat!jedi Gerard one, since that's also novembersmith and therefore an effective gateway drug. (see, this is why I'm a Slyther as well as a Claw).

And heh, I think I was totally unashamed about getting into bandom because astolat's awesome writing had already dragged me into American Idol RPF by that point. And I mean, I don't think it's possible to get lower than that. >>;

The failboat!jedi one did a lot less for me than her other stuff, idk. I think it's the potent Bradbury references and just general ambiance of her creepy stuff. ...This is probably why I am Slyther. And also In.

Oh dude, idk. After my long, drawn-out affair with this one author's Yu Gi Oh! fic? I mean, okay, it was COMPLETELY au. All of it. And just sort of stupid and funny and whatever, but like. It was Yu Gi Oh!, so the fucking fact remains. I think that well-written rpf is SO much less sketchy by comparison. Even if it's covered in glitter and Lambert.

OOOH JON. JON WITH KITTY. ...I somehow ended up reading the WWI fic with him and Spencer and Bob, but I think I'm gonna take a break at the end of pt1 and read something with a little more comic relief.
