Don't wanna do homeworrrrrrk
Apr. 16th, 2006 07:26 pmSo this weekend was weird.
It was me and Joe's 1-year anniversary on the 15th, and on friday we made pizza from scratch and he picked me azaleas and we did... something that I don't remember.
Saturday we got up and went out to breakfast and then drove to Tybee beach and went swimming and made a ghetto sandcastle and chased seagulls and lay in the sun. On the way back, we went to Crab Shack and ate crab and shrimp and glorious corn of awesome and joyness. And I spent about forty minutes watching the baby alligators watch me. They're sooooo cute omg.
Then we were driving back on Victory Dr. and were almost back into Savannah, going about 15mph stuck in traffic when some crazy person in a giant Chevy suv (Joe is saying Suburban. It was fucking monstrous) pulled a u-turn without looking and smashed into us. So not cool. They hit the left front fender and completely smashed the headlight into the battery, which sprayed everywhere, and the hood got accordioned into the windshield. And a good deal of the bumper came off. Dur. Anyway, we're both fine. Kinda stiff, but fine. Joe is just worried now that it won't be fixed in time for him to go home at the end of the month, and also he can't come out and see me. But that's okay for now, since Lynnsie is coming up on thursday and he wouldn't be coming this weekend anyway. But still. Dude. Argh.
I won't say I wasn't totally freaked out (still kinda am). I mean, if they hit us about three feet later, Joe woulda got hit first and that's just bad. But that didn't happen. However, morons who can't see where they're going because a giant motorhome is blocking their view shouldn't take u-turns at 35mph in rush-hour traffic. Seriously. So I don't think I even have to say, we weren't at fault in the slightest. There was a cop sitting right there who saw it all, which was good. But anyway, I totally don't wanna go to class tomorrow, but I have to (grr). Lucky for me, my second class at 12 got cancelled, so I get out at 11:30 (WHEE). I'm really pissed, more than anything, that now I can't go to the gym for two weeks (give or take) and also that now we're carless. Grrr. STUPID PEOPLE, WATCH WHERE YOU'RE GOING OMG!
In other news, I FINALLY saw King Kong last night. So good! ...Who gave Adrien Brody permission to be that sexy? Hmph.
