lllookalivei'm so tired. i must have woken up about half a dozen times last night, and i went to sleep around 2. it was like every alarm-equipt item in our room decided to go off at random intervals. the fun thing is, the only one that was actually set was my alarm clock, which went off at the scheduled 10:15am. the rest of the clocks/watches/other random beeping atrocities in the room just decided that tonight was a good night to fuck with us.
then, at 6:23 am i woke up to a bizarre, sharp crackling-popping-ripping noise that was happening right next to my head. it took me about thirty seconds to will myself to open my eyes, and another two minutes or so to figure out that what it was, was the wall; yes, you heard me- the wall, next to my head. this is a solid, reinforced cement and drywall structure covered in several layers of paint, and as i'm watching, hairline cracks are splitting down it from top to about the level of my face. the noise was really eerie, and it didnt help that theres an air ventilation duct right over my bed in the wall and there were some strange tapping noises coming from inside of it.
its no small fact that my dorm is haunted as all hell; everyone knows it. but this is getting absurd. i'll be sitting on my bed with no bright lights on, and all of a sudden out of the corner of my eye, i'll see what looks like an afterimage silhouette of a human figure hovering a few feet off the ground near my door or at the foot of my bed. or in the middle of the night i'll hear tapping along the top of the wall where it meets the ceiling, coming from the outside, which is reinforced concrete and brick, not to mention about four feet higher than a normal person can reach. and then there were those pictures i took with my digital camera on a sunny day that came out looking like the corridors were full of thick fog. and that isnt even mentioning the things i hear from other people.
i hate painting, by the way.
