So I got to work three extra hours today. Whoohoo! The big Uber-Boss was in town today; he's a trip. Why are franchise-owners always the same breed of whacko? I mean, he's a nice guy, but wow... just... wow. Then again, my *last* whacko boss took me out for pie because I was like, the one trainee that didnt make him want to kill things. Glorious. Annnyway, we trucked all over town in his Scion, soon to become the company car for 2-mile radius deliveries (he says), and shmoozed around all the local industrial-area businesses. I have rarely seen so many terror-stricken people being handed so many business cards. We'd sort of jump out from behind sales racks and launch into speeches about how they need to come try Quiznos and here's $2 off any large/regular sub blah blah blah. Most people looked pretty terrified. If I wasn't supposed to actually be *with* them, I'd have been laughing my ass off. But as it was, I clocked three hours and got a free lunch because everyone was too busy to notice. Not like I ever take anything important. I'm not one of the ones that makes a footlong and then forgets to charge. Annnyway. The highlight was definitely when we were in the car and heard the Subway Kona crew doing a commercial and Mike (Big Boss Man) started swearing up a storm and yelling at them (in jest... mostly) and just being really really silly. In leiu of that, let me just say, I'm glad I'm a temp and dont have to get worked up about team spirit blah blah.
Oh, and just because I can and I get bored: Fridays at Quizpimps is gonna start being Aloha Friday.
