[livejournal.com profile] evilhippo and I were out way longer than I thought we would be with the job hunt thing. We tried the little Italian place and they were like LAWLZ WE'LL BE IN TOUCH which is generally bullshit and makes me wonder why they had a sign for hiring in the window... or maybe they just hated us. *sigh* So much for that. We also hit the Lego store in the mall thingy and I tried this one fancy restaurant, the Grand Lux that would be alright, I guess. I'd be working the front desk which sounds okay if not massively dull. We rendezvoused at Trader Joe's down the street for minor grocery shopping complete with peer pressure, and ended up chatting with out check-out guy about bean sprouts. Conversation topics ran amok and it turns out they're hiring. We both filled out apps and took the scary scary math test and interviewed, and hopefully one or both of us will get a call back in a week or so. Which I hope happens, because of everywhere we looked, it seems the best by far. And HEALTH INSURANCE AHAHAH. But yeah, everyone there we talked to seems to love working there. And mmmm grocery benefits. Anyway, here's to hoping.
I've gotten a fat lot of nothing done for NaNo, save creating my profile on NaNoWriMo.org (Kilauea, for what it's worth). Now I need to make a LJ writing journal and actually bang something out. I'm just so tiiiiired.

Edit: My NaNoWriMo LJ username is [livejournal.com profile] pumpkinmuffins. Feel free to friend me, I just make no promises in the area of quality. :D

It was an acid trip. Minus the acid. ...And the addition of koala-sheep.

...btw, blood bending? Awesome, yes? ...Though WHY she didn't just... you know... rip the water out of people is beyond me. Or cerebral hemoraging. SOMETHING involving exploding globs of blood, you know? I mean, those trees went pretty spectacularly.

I want a koala sheep. The ep seemed like a bunch of writers hadn't had enough sleep and couldn't think of a plot so they used lack of sleep as one. It was... sort of pointless. Unless you count random amusement.

OH GODS YES. Ange actually thought of that like, waaaay back last spring. People are 80% water! I'm so glad the show decided to recognize that. I always thought it'd be fun to manipulate the blood away from the heart entirely, or else like, make it flood the heart or lungs or brain. Or something. But that episode just made me so dang happy. I can't wait to see if it's used in the final battle.

Heck, I'm still wondering why airbenders don't kill people via pressure, or lack thereof. ...Well, I guess I can understand Air Nomads not killing people period, but come oooon! You can completely immobilize someone through air pressure! Literally make someone breathless to stop/slow them down! ...Where's the love for pressure?

Earth Benders could manipulate the iron and other minerals in people's bodies, too. Magneto-style! Ahahah. Like, separate all the iron out of their blood and drag it out of them.
