Aja, get that spoon and bathtub ready.
May. 1st, 2007 03:54 pmSo, um... why is Editor's Day this Friday? Like, who's cracked up idea was that?
WHYWHYWHYWHYWHYWHYWHYWHY
I have like, NOTHING I feel is worthy right now. I know they aren't looking to hire, but seriously. I hate the feeling that I'll be just another moron going in there with mediocre crap that they'll just thrash to bits and tell to move along. I'm not EVER expecting not to get thrashed, but it'd be a little nice if someone offered me pages to ink provisionally without me asking first. *sigh* I'm not even really excited. I just want it over with.
I have William Dennis for Dc/Vertigo at 11:15 and Tim Beedle for Tokyopop at 5. Do I have ANYTHING at all directed to either of those? Nope. Okay, well maybe. If I get these pencils for 'Sleeve tightened up I could probably make history by presenting Tim Beedle with Spiderman pages and actually getting away with it. The chibis are working out so well, I'm sort of impressed with myself. Kate is demanding that I scan them after I ink and send her the second page so she can make T-shirts out of the expressions on Green Goblin's face. I was so many kinds of flattered! I think I can show Dennis my Batman inks I did for Lyle back in Winter, but I need to clean them up. Won't take much. Other than that, everything I have is too... illustrative. I guess. I'll post the Spidey pages when I scan them. Actually, I'll probably post twice, pencils and then inks.
Also, I'm thinking of starting the Church of the Templates/French Curves/Straight Edges. I think it might catch on. But that's a whole different story. XD
The rest of Adv. Inks will be nice. It's a minimum of four pages inked by the end of the quarter. I have no idea what my real grade is like in that class because Lowe refuses to tell us (Argh much? First SEQA prof I haven't liked taking a class from). I know that it can't be spectacular in reference to those bastard ink sketches, so I want to see how many damned pages I can cram before May 31. Nice part? I GET TO CHOOSE THE PAGES!!! *dance*
Also, riding the twoish miles between the post office and home through crazy traffic balancing two giant heavy packages between my legs on my one-speed beach cruiser tank of a bike was a new experience.
Always hardcore.
