I got so much done today. I haven't felt this accomplished since the beginning of the quarter... or maybe sometime around last mid quarter.
evilhippo and I plotted til I felt like my brain would break and it was GLORIOUS! I think we finally have the setup for our one-shot. Our one-shot, which I will most definitely not have for Editor's Day on May 4th, but oh well, that doesn't really matter to me. And I'm glad I didn't present in class like I was supposed to today, because I would've had to re-present an entire overhaul. So hooray for headaches obstructing my ability to... move. Or, move beyond inking the page for Sleeve I'm now almost done with. That leaves just two and a bit for Thursday and John is a bastard and assigned a 4-5 hour inked illustration for Wednesday, so right now my life is ink, but that's a good thing. I'm just relieved we got this gigantic plot barricade out of the way, it's been driving me nuts for weeks now.
In other news,
kenturion009 rocks my world and gave me more music tonight than I know what to do with. It's amaaaazing. Altan is my new addiction. They're this sort of old-style Irish folk band. A mix of instrumental with sometimes alternately Gaelic or English lyrics. Let me know if anyone's interested in checking them out, I now have three CDs and then some. Simultaneously, I'm getting him into Doctor Who. We're starting with Nine, and using it to take the place of our dearly temporarily departed BSG. *wail*
Also, we now have a cat. Sort of. It's a black and white kitty that followed me and
kenturion009 home one night and I gave it some sardines. It hangs out in the area around Boundary, I see it a lot. But then last night Jen called us out from our last Doctor Who ep because it had followed her up to our door. We actually got it inside, and I gave it some tuna and even petted it once before it got jumpy. It's soooo cute. We're calling it Tux because it looks like it's wearing one. I was a little apprehensive about naming it, since it's a stray, but Jen really wanted to. So it hangs out around our door now. We got it some kibble and a water dish and when I just went to take out the trash, most of both were gone. It actually seems pretty healthy, considering. I think it's a female because it's so playful, it'll rub against the door frame and purr and roll around on the mat. And it likes me. It got all excited when it saw me this afternoon after following Jen again. Yay, kitty!
And lastly, sort of depressing, the Virginia Tech shootings. ...My gods, what the hell. How completely horrible. And in Norris Hall, too. That's just a bit creepy.

Date: 2007-04-17 04:19 pm (UTC)Aww, kitty! A friend of mine found some kittens in her apartment, and she's looking for a place to give them homes. If you know anyone who wants a cat...
