I did not mean to disappear for a month... Oh well. Yeah, okay... um... what to blather about...
Finals week last quarter was... survivable. Irritatingly so, actually. Well, no, it wasn't, but I was slacking hardcore and I'm amazed I got the grades I did. I think midterms killed me and my brain just decided to go on sabbatical without letting me know. Bastard. I'm just glad the maquette was just before midterms, otherwise it'd be a lot more... lump-like. I've never done an inking job like I did on 'Sleeve's final, those fucking five pages we had five godsdamned weeks to pencil and then ink. TOO. MUCH. TIME. I never want to see the little pieces of crap again, honestly. I inked four of them the night before they were due. WITH A SHARPIE. Well, okay, I had a whole lineup of brushes, nibs and quills, microns, pitt pens, and a giant Sharpie. The only way I can aptly describe it is I went about it kind of how you would go about fending off zombies. Any way you can, desperately, messily, lots of swearing and throwing things and occasional threats of incineration. Hack and slash inking.
...It didn't turn out so terrific. It wasn't awful, but whatever. IT'S DONE! AHAAAHA! ...Annnnnd on to Pencil/Ink II. With 'Sleeve again, which is fun. I love that class. It's nice and small and I know about everyone and miraculously we get along pretty okay.
My manga class is fun, Bob is fantastic as usual, and also the usual not very demanding, thank gods. Girls get extra credit for cosplaying and people bring in food almost every class. I brought in gyouza yesterday that made me feel very popular.
evilhippo, I actually figured out some pretty significant questions about the Idea yesterday, I'll be online later if you read this before then.
And Advanced Inking is... nice. Not very high maintenance. Added bonus of having the class with the department head, John Lowe, so I finally got to submit my order for a Raphael #3 and some good Canson paper. Whoo~ I don't want to know what I got on the first project. It was all quill and I feel like a freaking monkey with one of those. It was a mess and I got so mad. My temper's been about .3 seconds to dour for weeks now. I hate it. Too damned much to think about.
I got all my grad stuff in the mail the other day, my final credit requirements and clearance to walk at commencement and whatnot. I don't even want to think about life after this summer. It's a giant freaking volcano that has taken up residence between my ears. ...And yet, to get out of this damned state... *sigh*
I think me and Ash found an apartment for this summer. Go us!

Date: 2007-04-07 07:36 am (UTC)Any idea of where you'll be moving? I'm trying to narrow my future living place down to certain states.
On a random note. I was watching Moon Child last night and all of a sudden I was all "I want Dariaaaaaa!" Watching Gackt and Hyde at the same time is bad for me.
*tackles Daria to the floor*

What are the odds you can visit me this summer once you get back? I'll be here til lateish August.
