I did not get nearly enough done in the past week. I mean, this is going to suck. Next Tuesday I have not only the maquette due, but Gildersleeve's 4-page Doctor Strange thing which I've barely even thumbnailed, and then on Wednesday I have two pages for Duncan in Lettering, one Text to Image, one Image to Text. And do NOT ask me to explain those, I thought it was simple, too, until I realized I actually had to do something for it. KILL. Anyway, that might not be so bad because rsiasta said something about a Mark Z. Danielewski fan art contest for "Only Revolutions which is, ironically, what I wanted to base my Image/Text/Doohickeys around. So that might end up marginally cool. Right now my biggest obstacle in life is staying still long enough to do anything to my maquette. I just spent about four hours on his right hand which in my defense, doesn't look too shabby, but... IT'S A FREAKING HAND! And okay, his fancy little pants look sorta nifty, too. I'm just a little worried about the face, but we'll get to that when we get to it.
And yes, "we". I've begun talking to him in my head, which is making me doubly guilty that he doesn't have a face yet. You know, or at least a mouth or something.
It's damn cold, and all I really want to do is curl up in bed all day under my comforter and sleep and drink tea. So far today I think the goal is to ingest my body volume.
Also, as stated, I didn't get nearly enough done in the past week/weekend. The weekend wasn't too bad, especially yesterday when sake_butterfly was over here and I actually stayed put all afternoon. We watched a lot of the show "Black Books" which is, in a word, amazing. I'll be quoting it til I die.
And then the BSG and Dresden night with her and Chris, where I FINALLY got someone who shares my agenda with Baltar who is godly if not a moron and needs to get rid of that hairy monstrosity eating his face.

Adama and Roslin: RAWR!!! ...Luckily, he's going to live.

...Oddly, it was almost exactly like when me and Chris were playing DOA on Thursday night.

You know, in every other situation imaginable I would've been against you in that scene but 1) Gaeta has been becoming more and more like Baltar, and he's not as well-developed so I'm allowed to dislike him with more gusto even if he's kind of cool and 2) I felt sorry for Baltar during the drugging. I would've felt more sorry for him, though, if he didn't have that beard. Oh, BSG and its unnecessary facial hair.

Also, in case I haven't said it enough, Gaeta totally has the hots for Baltar. And he's channeling it into rage.

I think someone needs to write some letters. Facial hair is creepy and mop-like and something has to be done.
I'm sort of where you are with Gaeta. I like him a lot in this not-too-familiar way, and he's just sketchy enough to really keep my interest. And now that you mention it... OHOHO sexual tension, how I love thee. First off, there is NO way Gaeta is straight. And so far as I can see, Baltar just likes it when people get naked for him.
...That would be an angry, angry union. And maybe a good subject for a second letter.
