This summer is turning out to be extremely low-key. I like low-key. This is good. Last night me and my mom drove up Mauna Kea to the veeeerrry top to watch the sun set and the moon rise for Solstice. It was awesome and we saw one of the most spectacular meteors I've ever seen. It was amazing. We're going up to watch the Perseid showers in July. Speaking of which, how is it almost july? Shit. But I'm clocked for 24 hours this week at Sandwich Nazi HQ, and I have my second paycheck pending, so thats a nice thing. Work was having some ups and downs last week (omg saturday. Many of you were there. Ugh. Gwen, you're face was priceless while you were watching me chug that lemonade.), but after a nice long bitch session with some co-workers on Sunday who share my feelings about a couple wannabe-managers (arent those fun, kids?), things have calmed down. I actually like my job. I dont have a single closing shift this week (11-4 wed-sat and 3-7 sunday), so I'll get to go swimming after work and stuff I wanna do in the evenings. I've been riding my bike out here in Hawaiian Acres like a maniac. I did a five-miler in the blowing rain in low gear today in under forty minutes. Go me. I'm still working on the drying-out bit. Cripes, its humid.
And in nerdland, 25 days til both Harry Potter 6 and the FMA movie! I've been geeking out like mad, only I'm always by myself, so that makes it just a bit more scary. Oh well.
I need to go do something distracting. My dad has been fixing car horns all afternoon, and its making me jumpy as all hell.
