Two and a half weeks later, TA DAAAH. DONE.

(Unless anyone has a b-side they wanna see, in which case just tell me which one.)

Vices & Virtues: It Came

So the way I hear it, Brendon Urie wrote this song about himself. Yeah, that's right. Fuck gender paradigms; let's make some metaphors, baby. \o/~♥

Lyrics video, if you're like me and the real deal makes you kind of uncomfortable.

Just for posterity.

You guys rock. I know I require a ridiculous amount of handholding to get anything done like this, ever, so I appreciate the validation and encouragement. I'm glad it's been making people laugh.

I'm strongly considering Razia's Shadow as a follow-up project.

The other candidate for a follow-up would be this zombie apocalypse thing I've had rattling around in my head since October. Yeah, I know everyone and their dead grannie is doing zombie apocalypse things, but I wanna get it out of my system, and the only way that's gonna happen is if I stupid-comic it. I don't have the time, energy, or attention span to do a full-blown comic, I don't think, but if I just sorta worked through it in doodles, maybe..?

Would anyone be interested in a zombie doodle comic?

I know I do this like, every other post, but here it is again- Let me know if you want off this filter! Or, rather, if I should make a new filter for future stupid-comics posts so your flist isn't spammed all to hell, but you can still view the V&V ones. I'm easy.

Um. Actual active bandom-type people on my flist? Should I like, make these more public? I know they're pretty lame and I mostly just do them for kicks. I have no idea of people who don't know me would think they were entertaining, but maybe?

Not that it really counts, but this is sortakinda my first-ever actual completed comics project. And... I have a degree in comics. I'm just gonna fistpump a bunch and ignore the really depressing second part of that statement.

Done.

Grinning so hard right now, you have no idea. I love Brendon's little legs, and all the movement, and his jumping and. You draw movement so well. :D

RYAN ROSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS ♥♥♥

I saw the "Shhhhh" and was all SHHH JUST COME and was hoping for a comic about Gabe's basement. If you're ever dry on ideas, lol.

You have questions and I will answer those questions once I kick this headache (which is about 50% gone after the epic nap I just took but there's still a ways to go).

Using my Growing Up Cullen icon 'specially for you now that you've read ittt.

Awh, thanks! Yeah, I've been using this whole endeavor as practice for poses and movement and crap. Thank youuuuu!~

AT FIVE THIS MORNING I LEARNED SUDDENLY AND WITH GREAT CONVICTION THAT ALL I'VE EVER REALLY WANTED IN LIFE IS TO DRAW A CAT WITH A BUBBLE PIPE. WHO KNEW.

...Now what's my excuse gonna be to draw Ryan Ross over and over again in douchebag sunglasses and the occasional lady's swimsuit? sigh...

(I seriously need to do some more Cobra stuff, and at least the one MIKEY MIKEY WHYYYYY thing that was sort of the whole reason I started drawing these in the first place but has somehow not been drawn yet.)

I've only read the first one BUT I'M GETTING THERE I SWEAR IT.

I still have almost no idea what's going on with these, but ::fistbump:: ^_^

Also, I would totally be up for a zombie doodle comic. Just, you know, so you can get it out of your system.

Thanks for putting up with me, dude. I hope a few of them made you laugh, at least.

I don't know how much you care about a brief explanation about sort of what the hell is going on, but. Panic! At The Disco has been reduced to two members, Brendon (singer/guitar) and Spencer (drums), after Ryan (your humble narrator) and Jon (cats) left. Vices & Virtues is the album the remaining two put out in March, with half again as many b-side tracks (which I like better than the actual ones, most of the time). It's cheesy and bouncy and supersuper optimistic even when it's supersuper snarky under layers of synth and sound fx, and sounds, in effect, like Bon Jovi, Journey, and Tom Petty all got together to write a Disney soundtrack. And they are SUPER SUPER EXCITED ABOUT IT, OMG. SUPER EXCITED, GUYS. It's basically really fucking adorable and kind of retarded in places, in mostly good ways, and they spend every interview sitting around making googoo eyes at each other. Seriously. Right down to telling interviewers that they're getting married and adopting Cambodian babies. Pretty much they're earth-crushingly in love, and nobody can really figure out if it's above-the-waist brotastic love, or othewise, and honestly I don't care just so long as they keep providing me with ridiculous things to giggle at like a fourteen year-old. Most of the tracks off the main album read like love songs about/between the two of them, except for the one track Brendon felt like including about his current gf, Sarah, called Sarah Smiles, and which I call the Mariachi Apocalypse. That's where Cobra Starship came with the interlude. The b-sides read mostly, to me at least, like jilted, cranky odes directed toward Ryan Ross (ex guitar/lyrics composer/rosevest wearer/drama queen/jerkoff who I find oddly endearing) under thinly veiled layers of metaphor. And that is all probably very little help, as most of the jokes in this series have been in my own head, and I doubt they make much sense to anyone not me. Cobra Starship dancing Swan Lake was only ever just Cobra Starship dancing swan lake. Mostly, this is all just self-indulgent crazy for my own personal amusement. BUT I'M GLAD YOU COULD JOIN US!! ♥ ♥ ♥

Yeah, the more I think about the zombie thing, the more I wanna try and make it happen. It'll be so fucking haphazard, though, I don't wanna get excited about it. It'll probably end up being my brain-vacation project when I'm in school.

I VOTE FOR ZOMBIE DOODLE COMICS!

Do I count as a bandom-type person? I'm generally of the opinion that more people should be aware of how amazing you are. I think others would enjoy these. *enablesenablesenables*

OKAY OKAY I THINK IT'S ON. TENTATIVELY.

You... don't. I meant more like, people who are active in bandom and like, know where to post shit and what may or may not be well-received. But your opinions still make me happy! ♥
