Joe came in last night and yes, I actually went to get him. We had dinner at Cafe Pesto, which he liked and also paid for which made me happy. I am not, however, happy that his contribution to this weeks groceries was a thing of milk, some shredded cheese, and a loaf of bread. And a couple snack items he eats but I don't. Soooo... I am the one who HASN'T been able to get a job yet I'm the one who spent over $200 actually buying food for the first time this summer so he wouldn't bitch and moan about being hungry all the time, which I know he'll do anyway so what's the fucking point. *GRIPE* Anyway, it'll be an interesting three weeks. Especially when my mom gets home and starts cooking her food and Joe ceases to recognize anything on his plate. And then my mom will get mad at me for being the bitch that I am and laughing outright. Look at me, I'm psychic!~ Also snarky.

Anyway. We went to the mall with Ange today and hung out for a bit. I remembered why I hate the mall. Yet again. We went to Suncoast to kill time and all of us ended up finding awesome cheap stuff. I got Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire deluxe edition for $18 (it's very shiny) and The Matrix, which I've been needing like woah for $8 I think. I felt very fuzzy inside. And then we took Eric and Joe to PotC2 (again, for us) and sat there and made Kraken faces and played the air-organ with finger tentacles. Because we're cool like that. Then we dropped off Ange at some dinner thing and me and the guys went home and I made dinner like the woman I am. *makes a face* Ange eventually showed up and there was pie and the watching of Goblet of Fire so me and Ange could make funny noises at the sight/thought of David Tennant. Must get past sixth ep of the Tenth Doctor, dammit!

And now in other news I'm panicking because I have that class down at the art store to teach on Sunday and I have absolutely NO idea what to teach these people about comics. "Um... This is how you lay out a page. And uh.... This is ink?" *scary smile* WHAT THE FUCK AM I GONNA DO ABOUT THIS?! Okay, I can draw. Great. And I'm a senior at art school. Greeeat. But I've only taken two of my major courses, not counting storyboarding! GRAAAAAAAAH *eats laptop* ...Now would be a really great time to get abducted by aliens. *looks up expectantly*

Also... In other pointless news... I went online yesterday and finally found the perfume I've been searching for for ages, Gucci's Envy Me (laugh is up, I know I know. I can wait.). It's usually $50 for 1oz but I found a warehouse site where it was $35 for 1.7oz and happiness abounded. Because material possessions dictate my happiness to a point, what, get over it.

Also, part of Saturday and most of Sunday I'll be out of commission, at Adams. Me and him are cooking our proverbial brians out making Russian Food Fest 2006. I'm making borsch and probably Russian rye if I can do it, and he's making two kinds of piroshzki or however you spell it I'm too lazy to go look. We're crashing at his place and then I have the class from 12-4 on Sunday, that is, unless I've been abducted by afformentioned aliens oh gods come get me now.

drown them in technical stuff. Like how panels should compel the readers eyes to roam the page in a pattern (or no pattern! mebbe the scene is chaotic!!) predetermined by you the artist, or how different "camera angles" can lend emphisis to the scene and character. Can you find that book on comic booking in Boarders by Scott McCloud? Its very niffty. Might give you some ideas. Or you can always try making comparisons between typical styles for Manga and American Comics.

Dont worry about the class, I'm sure it'll be over before you know it. (and if yer really SOL you can always have the audience try thier hand at a panel and do a group discussion thingy. If the volunteer you call up doesnt take forever drawing, you can always hope the following discussion will.)

Good luck ^^b

You know, those really aren't at all bad ideas. I'll probably make them think of a story and then each do a panel and put it all together and analyze it for storytelling and continuity and stuff. Who knows. It really depends on what the turnout is like, more kids or adults or what. I've read a bunch of Scott McCloud stuff, namely the How to Draw Comics, and I actually wasn't very impressed. Aside from some basic terminology, it was all stuff that a lifetime's worth of reading comics has already given me. Argh. And anything I draw for this is gonna be like, a little blob with eyes. Because I suddenly realize why my prof always did that in demos. Huh.

Thank youuuu!
Oh, and me and Ange saw Guy in the mall yesterday and he said something about you coming home in winter?
