So pretty much I've resigned myself to a neverending procession of drawings inspired by Anatomy and October Country, just... kind of mushed together and with increasingly unnecessary costume choices.

The ENTIRE PURPOSE of this picture was for me to draw this tie. I AM SO IN LOVE WITH THIS TIE. I'm not sure how I feel about the background yet. Other than that, I believe the general subject matter will continue to seem extremely familiar to some of us.

Kindasorta loosely inspired by softlyforgotten's Common Circuitry Problems, which is up there next to October Country with the reasons I finally created a separate fic:favorites tag in my Firefox bookmarks. Also like with October Country, this is kind of superstalkerawkward, since I don't know the author. Or, well. Not that I knew SOME PEOPLE when I started drawing around their stuff, but. You know what I mean. Maybe.
Let's just call it my excuse to draw super organic humanoid AI tech covered in paisley.

A couple of things-

--I want some opinions. I've started fidgeting around in Photoshop with the files and tweaking the color of the line art from the normal grayscale to duotone overlays. Which is fancy-talk for I'm changing the color and I want to know if it's bothering anyone. Or if anyone has any feelings about it either way. Is it cheesy-looking? I'm not attached to it, I just got bored with the plain graphite tone, but if it's looking too "I'm fourteen and this is my DeviantArt page", I want you to let me know. Or, if you think it looks cool, tell me so I can maybe stop fussing for a minute. If you have no fucking idea what I'm talking about and are totally bored, then clap your hands, roll your eyes, and scroll down.

You know. One for each fairytale segment. Extremely loosely interpretive, of course, as usual. Um. ...Thoughts? And a SUPER-AMAZING bonus piece that kept me half an hour late at work today. That's right, because today is May 4th and I work on the psych ward staffed by a bunch of Star Wars nuts, I got paid like, $7 to do this. Well. Okay. Do this and then bum around a bunch basking in my own glory, teasing Denise and figuring out my Sith name. Whatever. /hands/


Yes, those are stick-Jedi having stick-Jedi battles. No, that chickenscratch is not my handwriting (I feel compelled to mention). Yes, that's a group of angry Jawas to the right there, and it's fucking tragic you can't see their tiny, glowing eyes. Detail, motherfuckers.

All self-promotion aside, this ended in two supervisors and a client cornering me and demanding to see my 'actual drawings', so I'm pretty much still one giant ball of nerves right now. Three hours later. Yeah.
I need to mentally prepare for these things, dammit. I should have just said I have a degree in stick art.
