i got my first speech back today for speech and public, and amazingly, i had an a. i even got perfect on the outline. but anyway, now i have to start thinking about topics for the upcoming speeches; namely the informative one, which is gonna be the one i really wanna have fun with. i think i want to do "how to survive in a zombie attack" and have someone come in dressed as a zombie for me to DEMONSTRATE how to wallop them. sadly, i will not be killing anyone for real in class. *sigh* but yeah. if anyone knows some good sites/topic ideas/whatever, please let me know. that'd be awesome. i'll let you know how it goes
in other news, i'm being a dork and gloating because my first 3d design project is being put on display and i got an a on it. not that this is really any big deal, i'm just really proud of it, probably because of the lunar/solar arrays i painstakingly cut out at the risk of befingering myself (hooray for insane alchemists that happen to be inspiring me right now!!). and yeah, this'll be my second piece in the whole time i've been here that's gonna be displayed, so i'm feeling all spiffy. oh, and i can walk down stairs again, because my legs have decided to work... finally.
oh, and this week is really officially rocking out. yesterday my only class was cancelled, and it was a beautiful day, so i really got to enjoy it.
also, tomorrow night my wing of o-house, along with a shitload of other scad students are going to the midnight (first!!) showing of sin city! scad rented out the whole damn theater. its gonna rock. and then we get to come back and camp out in front of the ballroom all night to get places in line for early housing registration for next year. i WILL get boundary, or people will pay. during said campout, a group of us will be sitting in a corner and watching tons and tons of fma. i fucking love this week. well, provided all goes as planned. at least its better than last week when i nearly killed people.
oh, and get this: i'm supposedly joining an intermural soccer team. or, i was until i learned the point system. that is, a girl's goal is worth twice as much as a guy's. now i'm no raging feminist, but come *on*. what the fuck? thats just blatantly lame. i'd be glad for any thoughts on the subject.

the annoying thing about that is, that was my first choice. however, thanks to this stupid thing we had to write up about the ethics we'll agree to conform to in respect to our speeches, we cant have something that'd be considered either an "inside joke" or "specifically catered information", and since i dont think anyone in my class knows shit about alchemy, i'm sorta screwed in that department. however, if you'd like to be my zombie, you could dress up and get all bloody and i could pretend to hit you with blunt objects. option number 2 is doing an informative speech on alchemy in general, having nothing to do directly with fma. but dammit, i still wanna just dress up in a maniac and have you help me wreak havoc.

Read the book Gwen suggested, you'll love all over it. You can't claim any love of zombies, or a true hatred, nay, loathing of those damn dirty undead until you read that book.
